Search Engine Marketing – Pay Per Click (PPC) Specialist
Job Description
- Create and manage Pay Per Click (PPC) campaigns across multiple
search engines including Google Adwords, Yahoo and MSN.
- Develop lists of potential key words/phrases by understanding
the marketplace, using keyword research tools like Keyword Tracker, Keyword
Discovery, competitor evaluation, and client interaction.
- Write ads and test alternate wordings to improve conversion rates.
- Expand campaigns and increase effectiveness by continually monitoring, testing
and updating ad placements as necessary.
- Providing detailed analysis of key metrics and program tracking techniques in
order to increase overall search performance efficiency
- Analyze trends, along with qualitative and quantitative data to recommend
campaign changes and updates.
- Lead and mentor the team of Paid Search Engine Marketing Professionals.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Advertising or Communications.
- 2+ years hands on experience in managing high volume Pay per click accounts.
- Extensive knowledge of Tier-1 PPC Search Engine platforms (Adwords, Overture, MSN), paid
search, bidding & keyword management, tracking tools, etc.
- Highly knowledgeable about natural/organic search engine optimization tactics and
how web metrics are tracked (http headers, redirect, tracking pixels, etc.)
- Google Adwords Qualified Professional & Yahoo Sponsored Search Ambassador
designations (not required, but a major plus)
- Ability to meet marketing initiatives under strict deadlines, work well
under pressure, and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Very strong analytical skills in regards to ROI optimization
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, presentation skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills.
