Job Description

This position is for Network, Systems Administration and Support of In-house and Remotely located Web Hosting Servers with Windows & Linux environment and Application Support for RankUno’s internal process applications.

• Provide operational support to key environments including user account management, workflow, log analysis, troubleshooting and service optimization.
• Update knowledge base with problem fixes and system knowledge as directed.
• Maintain/Monitor assigned systems within environment to ensure optimal performance, to determine system upgrade/replacement schedules, and to meet established Service Level Agreement (SLA) commitments.
• Audit existing infrastructure and software to ensure proper setup, application of patches, and policy compliance.
• Configure and maintain remote deployment software for Windows and Linux servers.
• Design hardware and software performance tests and make recommendations based on test results.
• Work with ISPs to provide trouble free access.
• Remotely monitor and maintain the existing set of hosted applications and host the new instances for new set of clients.
• Research product and technical data for ongoing projects.
• Automate server backups and implement disaster management for highest uptime levels.
• Coordinating with the Remote Support and System Admin Teams.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Candidate Profile

• 2- 4 years of experience working in IT in an enterprise Win2k / Linux environment.
• BS / MS degree with Computer Technology emphasis or equivalent experience.
• MCSE for Windows 2000 certification and Linux Certification.
• Extensive experience administering Windows 2000, NT 4.0, Linux Web Server, Apache Web Server, Active Directory, SQL and IIS.
• Proficiency in Internet protocols and standards such as SMTP, TCP/IP, POP3, FTP.
• Thorough understanding of current LAN & WAN technologies.
• Thorough understanding of the Internet, and name resolution including WINS & DNS.
• Working experience with setting up MS Access, MySQL, SQL Server 2000 including writing Transact-SQL.
• Very strong skills in network, and internet technologies.
• Ability to successfully handle multiple tasks while under pressure.
• Working knowledge as a Web Master and Search Engine optimization a PLUS.
• Excellent problem solving and communication skills, along with the ability to work both independently, and as part of a cross-functional team.
